Specialist, multi-disciplinary teams ensuring continuity of care, dignity and relief

Palliative and End-of-Life Care

Saranam's mission is to strengthen access to palliative and end-of-life care in public health systems and spaces – and reduce serious health suffering due to cancer, neuro-degenerative conditions and other chronic life-limiting illnesses.

We work within public health institutions as a fully integrated unit creating access to the full scope of palliative medicine and care including palliative home-care services to the patients and care-givers,

Our Palliative Home Care–based palliative services bring compassionate, holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Focused on improving quality of life, our multidisciplinary team supports patients and families through pain management, symptom relief, emotional and psychosocial care, and end-of-life support. By reaching beyond hospital walls, we ensure dignity, comfort, and continuity of care -right where it matters most.

Our Work

Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology

saranam India has a 5 year MOU with Kidwai Institute of Oncology to be its palliative home-care partner, working as an extension of the Department of Palliative Medicine at Kidwai.

The Kidwai Institute is Karnataka’s Regional Cancer Centre, and saranam plays a critical role in directly reducing caregiver and patient burden, as well as reducing the Out of Pocket Expenditure (OOPE). An operational model has been established, and currently we have a full-fledged multi-disciplinary team comprising trained palliative physicians, nurses, social workers, counsellors, etc.
